Baby Room
Give your child the opportunity to play, learn and grow in a loving, supportive environment.
Baby Room at City Way
Our Baby Room provides care for children from 6 months to 2 years old in a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment. We focus on creating a nurturing space where every baby feels safe, loved, and supported as they begin their early learning journey.
Our Approach to Baby Care
From the very beginning, we encourage effective interactions and language development to give babies the best possible start. Our caring staff create meaningful connections with each child, helping them to feel secure and confident as they grow.
What We Offer:
Early Skills Development
We provide a range of activities to support fine motor skills — such as playdough, mark-making, and cause-and-effect toys — and encourage gross motor skills through soft play, garden play, bikes, and slides.
Supporting First Steps
For younger babies, we offer opportunities to build strength and coordination using walkers, low-level furniture, and gentle encouragement as they take those exciting first steps.
Physical, Emotional & Social Growth
Our daily routine is designed to support every aspect of development, from communication and problem-solving to confidence and social interaction, ensuring each baby is ready for the next stage of their journey.
What to Bring to Preschool
To help your child feel comfortable and prepared each day, we kindly ask you to provide:
A bag with a change of clothes (all items labelled) - please avoid drawstring bags.
Nappies, wipes and nappy cream (If needed).
Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor play.
Formula milk (If needed).
A comforter, blanker or dummy
Suncream (we provide this for all children, but if you have a preference, please pop it in the bag).
A sippy cup or bottle, (we have these available, but you can provide your own).
At City Way Nursery, our Baby Room is more than just care — it’s a loving, engaging, and stimulating space where your little one can thrive from their very first days with us.
